Essential Functions/Responsibilities THE OPPORTUNITY:

SABIC Polymershapes has a tremendous opportunity in the Houston, TX branch as an Inside Sales Representative (ISR). The Inside Sales Representative will focus on the individual needs of each customer, deliver products and services that exceed customer expectations and promote long-term relationships and superior customer service.

POSITION DESCRIPTION
· Build strong customer relationships, loyalty and retention through exceptional sales/service and the presentation, awareness and understanding of our active product portfolio
· Meet quantitative and qualitative metrics set forth by the Branch Manager in performance excellence
· Act as an extension of the outside sales force to proactively grow Polymershapes product sales
· Handle customer inquiries, process orders and resolve customer issues promptly using root-cause analysis
· Ability to read specifications and recommend cost effective solutions to build customer relationships
· Secure market level pricing feedback from customers and provide timely price quotations and/or proposals
· Procure/place orders, handle claims, returned goods and manage customer accounts
· Expedite backorders to maximize fill rates and customer satisfaction
· Assist with counters sales and inventory management, as needed
· Place outbound calls to new and existing accounts identifying opportunities, decision marker(s) and related customer service needs
· Research market opportunities utilizing a variety of tools to develop sales leads and targets
· Communicate effectively, both written and verbal, with all levels off staff
· Actively participate in branch and business quality initiatives and support continuous improvement
· Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as needed
· Demonstrated teamwork and flexibility to assist other depts, e.g. work in warehouse as needed
Qualifications/Requirements POSITION REQUIREMENTS
· High School diploma or GED; Technical School Training or Associates Degree strongly preferred
· Minimum of 2 years experience in sales environment
· Strong negotiation, influence and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate with all levels internally/externally
· Detail oriented and strong personal accountability
· Superior time management / organization
· Excellent verbal and communication skills
· Knowledge of Windows based software, e.g. MS Office
· Familiarity with automated order entry systems
· Ability to work efficiently and meet tight deadlines
· Ability to identify issues and offer alternative solutions and/or course of action
· Demonstrated teamwork and ability to perform related warehouse duties as needed
· Ability to work in a dynamic, flexible environment where priorities are continually changing
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
